It's been a LONG weekend to say the least.....so much rain...and so cooped up. I just love to be outdoors. I found myself going a little stir crazy by yesterday afternoon.
We had a wonderful day Saturday, starting it off with a soccer game. The games are so exciting...if they could just last a little longer. They also took group and individual pics. I'll show them when we get them in. Rick and Ginger called just about the time we were leaving the game so we decided to take a trip to the farm and get a Tom turkey that Ginger had been holding on to for us. It was cold and rainy so we had a short trip but we got home safely and settled in our Tom. Turkeylurk was a bit surprised. I think she thinks she's a chicken, so seeing this critter that looked a bit like her, just bigger, had her scratching at her feathers. First, she fluffed out and pranced over to him, then his feathers puffed way larger than hers so she turned and walked away. "fine then", she said, "I'll stay with the little guys over here". I'm sure they'll buddy up
I bought several more starter mini greenhouses and cant wait to plant them, my others are doing so well. Honey got my french doors put in my exercise room and I escaped the cramped up feeling and went shopping for a new flat panel tv for the room. Finally found one at Sam's. Seems right now everyone is low on stock because the new models are coming in. Although there were lots of good deals, everything I wanted was sold out.
By the time bedtime was here we were all so slap crazy from being cooped up that we had a good old tickle fight. Of couse Lauren and I beat dad, yep, we double teamed him and chased him from one end of the house to the other. Now, I'm sooo looking forward to the sun and outdoors. I've had my morning workout, and followed it up with some good and fattening Hibachi Express leftovers, so I'll have to get another bike ride in later. Just killin a little more time waiting for the sunshine. But according to the master (that would be pool/weather master) we're in for some serious pollen after the rain......so .....well.....I'll still take the sunshine!!
