ok ok ok already......

So yeah.....I'm way behind on my blog....it's been 3 weeks since I've updated....so what can I say?  Outside of the wonderful world of Facebook , which becomes quite addicting, I've done a few more things...

I've had the wintertime blues, counting the days until spring.  Old man winter hit us with tornado's and snowstorms, and we've spent a lot of time on Laurens soccer practice and school of course.

The tornado was quite a surprise, ,,,, came right past our door and we never knew it.  The snow was wonderful.  All the beautiful snow scenes, snowmen, and joy it brought to Lauren....  I'm guessing my only reader or two has seen all the pictures on my facebook.  I would upload them to my main page at thechickenyard.com but Picasa has fliiped out on me....just when I thought I was gonna store all of my pictures there, now it wont let me ... it just keeps giving me an error....any tips on that would be appreciated.

I also started some seeds in my little mini greenhouse and they are sprouting now.  And I've planted lots of plants at the pool. I'll probably plant my garden tomorrow.  My baby girl had her 1st soccer game today and we had a blast.  I only wish it could've lasted longer....I just couldnt stay glued to my seat!  It was very exciting!  You can see those pics on FB too.  This week Lauren will also be practicing after school for some cheerleading for the schools soccer team....that should be fun.

The coming weeks should be lots of fun.  We're planning a trip to Tennessee for Spring break, and my garden will be sprouting so much new life!  I'm so excited!  Oh yes....and we're gonna squeeze in a trip to Uncle Richie & Aunt ginger's for a boy turkey for our turkeylurk....so hang on to one for us!

P.S. Don't forget the time change tonight - S-P-R-I-N-G forward!

You name it, I'm gonna try it...really, lots of tomatoes, peas, beans, corn, banana peppers, a few hot peppers....it's gonna be a real "tester garden" to see what works well...oh yeah, of course cucumbers, strawberries and lala made me plant some carrot seeds...they're sprouting :-))

Why'd you have to update the pen?

We had to update the pen...because the roof was falling in..and it got too wet...she was laying in the burn pile...not a good place for her nest!!Silly turkey...She's made a new nest now and seems content...
